About Me

Prior to pursuing a career centered on fly fishing, I spent 25 years in telecommunications, information technology, engineering and consulting. During the last few years of my technology career, I started up and ran my own e-commerce business focused on girls' sports.

My business experience is extensive and has varied over the years. Much of my career involved a lot of problem solving, and it still does today. I worked for multi-national corporations with operations around the globe. I was fortunate enough to be able to travel around the US, Canada, Europe, and even Hong Kong and China.

I am a member and past president of our local Trout Unlimited (TU) chapter in Gunnison - the Gunnison Angling Society. I am currently on the Board and manage the chapter web site, which I developed. Prior to moving to Colorado , I was very active with TU in Virginia. I developed and managed web sites for local chapters, as well as the Virginia Council of TU. I am a life member of TU and fully support the TU mission to conserve, protect and restore North America's coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.

Fly fishing is my passion, and I spend as much time on the water as possible. During the winter months, I snowshoe to the rivers, even if it's just to get out there and cast a fly rod (and hopefully catch some fish in the process). If you're planning a fishing trip, I highly recommend the Gunnison Valley as a destination, especially during summer and fall.
