After enjoying temperatures in the 60s and 70s here for a while, we were recently reminded of what late winter is really like. It was cold and windy, and we had a bit of snow falling on and off throughout the day. I found myself on the river without a warm hat and gloves handy, and told myself to be better prepared next time. It’s easy to get fooled into thinking winter is over sometimes, but this is April in the Colorado Rockies and anything can happen. (Fishing was excellent by the way.)
